But today I’ve narrowed the focus to Cl blends.

We’ll start off warming up in words, build to phrases, and end with a story and questions.

Clara’s Clubhouse Clay Day

Clara was a new volunteer at her neighborhood clubhouse.

It was called The Craft Clubhouse, and today was clay day!

Clara got to work setting up before class started.

She opened the closet and pulled out a big tub of clay.

Soon, two of her classmates, Clark and Claudia, arrived.

“We’re ready to create!” they announced as they climbed into their seats.

“This clay is cool!” Claudia said. “Let’s get crafting!”

They rolled, pressed, and shaped the clay. Then attached their designs to clay pots.

Clark made a clay sun.

Claudia made a clay cat.

Clara made a clay flower.

When they finished, they put their pots on the counter to dry.

“Time to clean up,” Clara said.

They cleaned the table and closed the big tub of clay.

When the work was done, they had time to clown around!

The class danced and clapped to some music while they waited for their pots to dry.

Before long, the timer on the clock went off.

It was time to see what they created.

Clap! Clap! Clap!

The clay was dry, and all the pots looked beautiful!

“What a clever class!” said Clara.
