Free Speech Therapy Printables: Monthly Language Calendars, Book Bingo, and More
So you’ve signed up for the Speech and Language at Home Newsletter. (No? Read more about it or sign up here).
Now what?
The Newsletter is More Than Just Calendars.
Here’s a breakdown of the perks of being a subscriber.
New Calendars and Book Bingo Every Month.
Subscribers of the newsletter receive new Language Calendars and a Book Bingo Challenge on the 15th, roughly two weeks before the start of the month. They are sent out again on the 1st and uploaded to the Free Printable Library.
Free Printables Library?
That’s right. In addition to the calendars and bingo, subscribers also get access to a full library of free speech and language handouts.
Here’s what you’ll see when you log in.
The library consists of five groups of handouts.
The first set includes all Language Calendars for the year, up to the current month. New calendars are uploaded on the 1st.
The second section is a download of the current month’s Book Bingo Challenge.
This is available in English and Spanish and also includes Certificates of Achievement. These are grouped in a single downloadable PDF.
Simple Speech Therapy Handouts for Family Coaching
In the third section of the library, you’ll find a variety of handouts to share with families. These are a collection of downloads available on the website in one convenient location.
This collection includes:
First Words Checklist
25 Speech and Language Strategies (quick sheet)
40 Early Signs
Developmental Checklist
36 Everyday Items to Develop Speech and Language
Parent Handout Half Sheets
Early Song Visuals
100 Wordless Picture Books List
Picture Cards for Toys
Articulation Practice for Carryover at Home
The fourth section of handouts was created to support speech development. These are a group of one-page homework printables based for families.
Every month is based on a familiar setting or space at home.
For example, January is focused on the laundry room because clothes are a common theme during this cold winter month.
Kids work with an adult to fill in their speech sound at the top, then brainstorm words with that sound associated in the space.
It could be nouns, verbs, adjectives, etc. Families follow the prompts below the picture and mark off daily practice at the bottom.
